Blowing in the Wind

I am Beauty !

The Seedling of all Things waves to Me.

Stilled I am at Times in Wonder. In Me and Through Me all Things Grow and

Change. Far beyond the Conscious Realm I range Freely.  In every Sphere Am I.

My Breath Kisses the Lips of Life and Blows the Seeds and asks of Time , no end ?

Beauty Answers my Friend.

During the spring of 2001 many dandelions peppered our front lawn.

I wanted to treat the grass with a weed killer and get them removed.

Eventually they disappeared, but by July a few had returned and I kept

remembering my desire in the spring to remove them. I was having this

semi-personal relationship with these seeding plants wishing they were not

there, but appreciating their simple beauty. One Saturday after lunch on the

patio I took my camera and decided to capture a couple of images. What you

see with this photograph is a double image produced onto 35mm transparency

film stock and then converted to black and white in a manual process by the

making of an internegative onto 5+4 material. The novel format to the final

image is produced by physically bending the film during the making of the

master negative in the darkroom. I very much enjoy the darkroom work.

All the printing, spotting and knifing, including the matting and framing

I do myself. I hope you enjoy the image.
