Land of Legends, Wiltshire, England

Arthur, Arthur ! Where art thou ?
What price maybe upon your head, the world alone believes you dead !
Your legend gone, long lost in time, so blown about the limestone chine;
Still yet in minds that know no rhyme, Arthur, Arthur ! !
Is thy mind mine ?

Rule number two producing landscape photographs is ' be prepared to wait ’.
If you can’t wait don’t bother to mess with cameras and darkrooms. I waited
for this exposure. Fortunately my wife understands the need to wait when
producing, or attempting to produce, landscape images [ she is a watercolor artist
and this helps ! ] On this day she had her book with her and managed about
an hour of reading while I did the waiting for a small burst of sunshine
which eventually arrives and stroked the hill and lower field. It did this even though
it was raining quite hard. I got quite wet. I have manually introduced the clouds
into the sky. Otherwise the scene was one of a flat uninteresting dull sky.
Nahhh… don’t like those…. It’s the White Horse at Pewsey Downs, Wiltshire,
England on a dull wet Saturday lunchtime when most of the locals have
the sense to stay in the local pub !
